Kyoto

/ Saturday /

If you ask me about Kyoto I'll tell you 5 key things:

one:  It's a much bigger city than I thought- for some reason I thought it would be more quaint

two:  Despite that it has the most beautiful nature-type things I've ever seen

three: We got shown around by a free guide for a full day- a retiree who out paced us 90% of the time

four: How awesome I was to accidentally book a service apartment- doing laundry and making our breakfast was just what we needed

five: It will be forever associated with the fact I fell off my bike (hard) and onto my face. I then sat on the road and cried for half an hour before forcing myself to 'not waste the day' and rode for another 30km...

Tokyo 01

Things have been crazy in my world lately as we finally packed up our house in Hanoi and headed back to Australia (with a detour through Thailand).

I've just started to go through our photos from our Japan trip in October- oh how I miss it every day!

Here are 11 Reasons Why We Want To Move To Japan.

Japan is Awesome: Dog Edition

So I went to Japan. Everyone said it would be amazing and it was.

I think we can all agree this is key evidence of the fact.

Gardens By The Bay

/ Monday /

These are a few photos from our trip to Gardens By The Bay in Singapore. It opened at the end of June this year and is made up of 2 giant domes of plants as well as a huge outdoor garden. It's funny- being from Australia we assumed the giant domes were tropical greenhouses but once you step in the first thing that hits you is how cold it is inside (which makes alot of sense since it's already a tropical country). They're both amazing and one even includes a waterfall! The other had the most delicious roses I've ever smelled in my life.

We zoomed through the outdoor gardens because we didn't have much time but even doing so we were there for at least 4 hours. If you're in Singapore or even have a chance to do a stop over it's definitely worth it.

Hello Kitty Lomo Fisheye VII: Sydney

These are some photos from my last lomo batch I had developed. I've been meaning to use it more but I've barely touched it- it's that damn iPhone's fault! When Laura first got hers I scolded her because she didn't use her lomo or dslr anymore...and now I'm doing the same. DOH.

A few more shots from my time in Sydney. It's strange to think that it's sweltering here at the moment it's freezing cold in back there. Not quite sure which I'd prefer at the moment...

A couple of months ago I sent back a few rolls of film with Johnny to get developed in Hanoi- it's so much cheaper to have them processed here. Being male, he never actually developed them so I dropped them off and only got them a few days ago. Oh Sydney how I miss you already!
